Mustafa Pasa was inhabited by Greek Orthodox families until the beginning of the 20th century. The houses dating back to the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries display fine examples of stonework. Damsa lake is an example of the hard work of local men and women in building a dam across the lake. Cemil means 'Pretty Village', here is where the Greek people lived. Keslik this Archangelos Monastery is about two kilometers south of Cemil. The monastery comprises a church chapel, refectory, hall, and other chambers, all hollowed out of a group of broad-based cones. Soganli fractured and collapsed during an earthquake that added to erosion, resulting in deep valleys and canyons. Soganli valley, which is divided into two, has been occupied since the Roman period. The rock cones found on the sides of the valley were used as graves by the Romans, and later as churches by the Byzantines.

There are 17 distinct thermal springs at Pamukkale with water temperatures between 35-100°C. Over thousands of years, hot spring water has created 'cotton-looking' white calcium terraces known as travertines. Once known as Hierapolis, the site offers a thermal pool in which you can swim with ancient artifacts. The springs have drawn people since antiquity: Hierapolis grew up around them as a Greco-Roman spa town, and by legend Cleopatra herself bathed here. Today the same recreation is available to any visitor. The pool provides today's visitors a rare opportunity to swim with antiquities. The largest ancient cemetery in Asia Minor called necropolis, the Domitian Road and gate, Plutonium, a fountain, a theater, Hierapolis Museum are other attractions in the city. The ancient site has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988.

Departure for Priene which lies approximately 20km (12 miles) from Kusadasi. It is the first grid-system planned city of the ancient world, in Priene; you will visit the theater, the temple of Athena, the Bouleterium, the Agora, and the Altar of Zeus and Cybele. Alexander the Great stayed in Priene for a while and he offered to pay for the construction of the Temple of Athena. Proceed to Miletus, the city of philosophers and gladiators. You will visit the Delphinium, the Nymphanion, the Theatre, and the Faustina Baths. Miletus was one of the richest of all the Greek cities and an important trade center in Anatolia for a long time. The city was the hometown of famous philosophers such as Thales, Aneximender, Aneximenes, Hekataios, and also the great city planner Hippodomus. The magnificent interior is testament to the unique east-west synthesis that is manifest in Istanbul. Shimmering biblical mosaics juxtapose huge plaques bearing the names of Islamic caliphs. Blue Mosque, another of the world's most important religious buildings. Built in the 16th century the mosque is unique for its 6 minarets and its celestial interior decorated with the famous blue Iznik tiles. The Hippodrome, scene of chariot races. Although little remains of the great stadium which, in its heyday, is thought to have held 100'000 people, the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine are highlights. Topkapi Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultan's from the 15th to the 19th century. With its impressive treasury, exquisite harem, attractive courtyards and pavilions housing huge collections of antiquities, Topkapi Palace offers a true insight into the heart of the Ottoman Empire.
Ottoman Splendours
We begin our tour at Topkapi Palace, which, from the 15th to the 19th century, was the principal residence of the Ottoman Sultans. We will visit the fabulous Imperial Treasury and the Baghdad Kiosk. Topkapi Palace is now a museum and has unrivalled collections of jewelry, including the Spoonmaker’s Diamond, the 3rd largest in the world, Ottoman court costumes and ceramics, notably one of the world’s finest collections of early Chinese ceramics, much of it gifts from other rulers. Interestingly, some of the ceramics have a special glaze that was said to change color in the presence of poison. We also visit the Imperial Armory, displaying centuries of Ottoman weaponry. But perhaps the loveliest features of Topkapi Palace are its courtyards with their ancient trees, and it is easy to imagine the sultan strolling here far from the cares of state and empire. The Suleymaniye Mosque is the largest and grandest of Istanbul’s imperial mosques. It dates from the 16th century heyday of the Ottoman Empire, and was designed by Sinan, the greatest architect of his day and originator of the Classical Ottoman style of architecture. Of the 2,000 structures Sinan designed, Suleymaniye Mosque and its complex of charitable institutions rank among the most important.

Next, we take an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus, the majestic strait that runs through Istanbul, linking Europe and Asia. From our cruise boat, we view the dramatic sights lining the Bosporus’ wooded shores; mosques, a bridge that for a time was the world’s longest, and the massive Rumeli Hisari, a fortress built by Fatih the Conqueror in just three months as he prepared to take Istanbul. Also noteworthy are the 19th-century mansions of the Ottoman elite and the Sultan’s fanciful gingerbread palaces and hunting lodges.

A short drive brings us to the Palace of Beylerbeyi on the shore of the Bosphorus, perhaps the most elegant of the late Ottoman palaces, boasting six sumptuously furnished reception halls. Istanbul By Night
We visit an exclusive nightclub where we will enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine, including the delicious array of appetizers known as meze. The Turks are justly proud of their food. They are equally proud of their traditional music, and after dinner folk musicians from different regions of Anatolia will perform for us. And of course no night out in Istanbul would be complete without Turkish belly-dancers. We will be entertained by some of the city’s finest. Istanbul Inn or similar restaurant.
Full Day Prince's Islands Tour
If you feel the need to escape from the bustle of Istanbul for a day, nothing could be easier. You simply join us aboard a ferry bound for the charming Princes’ Islands. Our destination is Buyukada, the largest of the island chain, but we will pass by four other islands on the way. All are famous for their mild climates, lush vegetation and ornate Ottoman houses, and on all of them private cars are banned. For a century the island was toured by the phaeton, the horse-drawn carriage that became its emblem; the phaetons were withdrawn in 2020, and Buyukada is now circled by quiet electric vehicles, which we take on our tour of the island, passing elegant mansions draped in brilliant purple bougainvillea. You will feel as though you have stepped back into a more leisured and gracious age, almost expecting grand 19th century ladies and gentlemen to come strolling down to the waterfront on an afternoon promenade. Lunch will be at one of the many excellent traditional fish-restaurants on the waterfront, gazing across the water at the Asian shore of Istanbul, so close though it feels worlds away.
