Departure for Priene which lies approx. 20km (12miles) from Kusadasi. It is the first grid-system planned city of the ancient world, in Priene; you will visit the theater, the temple of Athena, the Bouleterium, the Agora, and the Altar of Zeus and Cybele. Alexander the Great stayed in Priene for a while and he offered to pay for construction of the Temple of Athena.
Proceed to Miletus, the city of philosophers and gladiators. You will visit the Delphinium, the Nymphanion, the Theather, and the Faustina Baths. Miletus was one of the richest of all the Greek cities.
It was an important trade center in Anatolia for a long time. The city was the home town of the famous philosophers such as Thales, Aneximender, Aneximenes, Hekataios and also, the great city planner Hippodomus.
Following the lunch at a restaurant, continue to Didyma to visit Temple Of the Apollo. Located about 11 miles south of the ancient port city of Miletus on the western coast of modern-day Turkey, the Temple of Apollo at Didyma was the fourth largest temple in the ancient Greek world.
The length of the temple is 60 meters, its height 118 meters. Many rulers, from Alexander the Great (356-323 BCE) to the Roman emperor Diocletian (244-313 CE) visited or sent delegations to this oracle seeking the guidance and favor of Apollo.
